Hanai – Casual Hawaiian Elevated Higher in Dollars than Experience [REVIEW]

This is going to be one of those posts where I get angry messages from the business or its fans. I went to one of the hippest restaurant openings in Hanai [https://hanaivancouver.com/] and sadly can't get myself to imagine going again. Coming from a background where »

Top Rope Birria – The Tacos You Wish Were Served Everywhere [REVIEW]

5,000-8,000 hours. That's how long, depending on the region, it takes to become a Red Seal chef. That's 416 12-hour days of training. I can't even commit to the gym for an hour each day but I would if it »

It's fun to crawl through the glitz and glam of downtown hubs in the restaurant world, but if you look deep enough, the same kind of prestige can be had in the suburbs often for a better value price. I believe Stem Japanese Eatery [https://stemjapanese.ca/] is »

New Fishport – A Seafood Bistro Lacking True Backbone in Vancouver [REVIEW]

It's kind of crazy to say this but what is going on with the operation of New Fishport [https://newfishport.com/] that they can allow smoking to happen on-premises? It's sad that this overshadowed my food experience but when 20% of my primary senses are »

Community Taps and Pizza – Simplified Cornerside Comfort in Vancouver's Most Italian Neighbourhood [OVERVIEW]
